Owned
by the Anderson's in TN.......Tito
is a very confident, stoic, and
protective dog; he is truly a Farm dog Boerboel. He
takes his job of protecting the farm, family, and
his girls (our 2 female dogs) very seriously and is
constantly watchful of our surroundings. We live in
a very rural, hilly area with coyotes, bobcats, and
lots of snakes living in the vicinity. With Tito
around I don't worry for my son to be outside in the
yard and woods. My husband says Tito is the reason
we haven't seen many snakes here in the last few
years. One day this past summer he was working on a
playground for our son down in the woods in front of
our house. Our female Tippy started barking at
something on the ground at one end of the cleared
area. My husband was on his way over to investigate
as he figured it was a snake. Before he could get
to her, Tito came bounding down into the woods
where Tippy was, stood back for just a second, then
leaped onto the snake and bit it in two.
Tito poses little threat to and rarely barks at
visitors unless needed. If a stranger
approaches he will calmly stroll over and stand in
front of me. He monitors the situation until it is
evident that everything is alright and then goes
back to whatever he was doing, which is usually
sunning himself in the yard with the great dane!
He's a fairly big boy, weighing in around 150# and
standing 29.5". In spite of his size, he is the most
athletic dog I have had the joy of owning and has
the best movement for a dog his size I have seen.
